ULTRASOUND IMAGING

At Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic, we proudly offer ultrasonography for our patients. We use the latest in technology so we can quickly and efficiently diagnose and treat your pet.

Ultrasounds work using sound waves and are as painless as a belly rub. They are best used to examine soft tissue like internal organs, as opposed to x-ray which is better suited to assess bone. There are several conditions that can only be diagnosed with an ultrasound, and we are delighted to have all our DVMs formally trained in this imaging modality.

X-RAY IMAGING

At Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to offer digital X-ray in our dental suite as well as our general treatment area. Our certified technicians and assistants are specially trained to operate the digital equipment, properly position patients to obtain the perfect diagnostic images, and collaborate with our physicians to assess the images captured. Digital X-ray is an excellent diagnostic tool for assessing the viability of bone and other radio-opaque objects like possible foreign bodies and fetuses. Pockets of air, which appear stark black, are readily visible too and help us identify lung concerns and gases trapped in the gastrointestinal system.
