Dr. Emily Barber, DVM
Meet Dr. Emily Barber! Dr. Emily was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. She attended college in Northern California at CSU Chico. She graduated from Chico with her bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Animal Science in 2020. Dr. Emily then went on to move to the east coast to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Emily graduated with her DVM in 2024 and moved to Colorado to start her career in small animal general practice.
Dr. Emily worked as a doctor’s assistant at a privately-owned small animal general practice during her undergraduate education. It was through this experience that she found a passion for general practice. Dr. Emily’s favorite part about working in general practice is the long-term relationships built with the clients and their animals and getting to see her patients’ beautiful transition from puppies and kittens to senior pets. Dr. Emily has a special interest in ophthalmology, dermatology, and behavior.
When she is not at the clinic, Dr. Emily can be found spending time with her fiancé Nathan, and their two hound mixes, Loki and Freya. She enjoys golfing, anything that involves her dogs, and crochet.
