Dr. Erin Homburg, Medical Director

Hi! I’m Dr. Erin Homburg, Medical Director at Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic. I am thrilled to embark on this new adventure. I am so thankful for this opportunity, and I hope to continue to build on the compassionate and caring culture that has been the foundation of Brooklyn for years.

I was raised in southeast Texas and started working in a veterinary clinic the summer I turned 13. I knew from that age I wanted nothing more than to be a veterinarian! I worked every summer and holiday at Groves Veterinary Clinic, gaining as much experience as I could. I graduated from Nederland High School in 1991 and went to Texas A&M University for my undergraduate education. I then went on to attend veterinary school at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. I graduated from vet school in 1999 and my husband and I moved to Austin in 2000.

In Austin, I opened Austin Urban Veterinary Center in 2009. We grew to a five-doctor practice and loved the relationships we built with the downtown community! I then purchased Hill Country Veterinary Hospital in 2019 where my amazing team focused on stress-free visits for out-patient appointments. In 2024, my husband and I decided to make our home in Monument, Colorado, which led me to Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic. I am so excited to join the team at Brooklyn and expand the services we are able to offer to Castle Rock and its surrounding communities.

My husband and I met at Texas A&M in 1992 and we have been married 27 years. We have two amazing boys, Gavin, 18, and Logan, 10. We have three dogs, Poppy the Frenchie, Foxygirl, and Gus the Terrier. We are super fortunate to have family in Colorado, so we get to spend a lot of time with them. We love to snow ski, we enjoy the outdoors, and I love to scrapbook my kids’ lives!!
